Falkirk care home Residents thankful for community mailResidents at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor care home in Falkirk have spent the day opening the lovely letters and posters they have received in their community post box.

Residents at Kinnaird Manor created a post box, with help from staff, for their front door and sent out a request on social media for people in the community to write letters or draw pictures to help Residents stay connected with the outside world.

The response they had was excellent, with local school children drawing pictures and some of their neighbours posting cards. Jean Alexander, who resides at Kinnaird Manor said: "It’s nice to know that people are thinking of us.”

It has been uplifting for Residents to see the effort people are making and they have created a display so everyone can enjoy it.

Kinnaird Manor Home Administrator Louise Owen said: "It’s a positive thing to do in what is such a difficult time.”
