Residents from HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor care home in Falkirk enjoyed a trip out to the People’s Palace in Glasgow on Monday 2nd March.
A group of Residents from Kinnaird Manor headed to the People’s Palace in Glasgow to learn about the history of the city and what life was like for people living in the area in decades past.
Looking at all of the displays inspired Residents to reminisce about their younger days, sharing stories of taking their washing to the ‘steamie’ in a pram so that they didn’t have to carry it there and back.
Helen, a Resident at Kinnaird Manor commented: “Isn’t it amazing when you look at how people used to live and what life is like now, things were so much simpler back then.”
Glynis Crossley, Home Manager at Kinnaird Manor said: “I am pleased our Residents enjoyed their visit to the People’s Palace, it is lovely to hear people sharing their experiences and memories with each other.”
