A very special Resident at HC-One’s The Hornchurch care home in Hornchurch, Essex, celebrated her 100th birthday this April and Colleagues made sure it was her best one yet.
On Wednesday 14th April, The Hornchurch Resident, Lilian Fitch turned 100. For the big day, Colleagues wanted to ensure, despite all the restrictions, that it was her best birthday yet.
Lilian's daughter, Linda arranged with The Hornchurch Home Manager, Tania Banner, to have a small outdoor gathering of Lilian's close family and friends to celebrate her special day.
Lilian really enjoyed seeing all of her family to celebrate her special day as well as the lovely bouquet of flowers she received from them.
The homes activities team decorated both Lilian's room, the reception area and the outdoor area with both balloons and banners. Hornchurch kitchen staff made a beautiful cake for Lilian and her family to enjoy.
Lilian and her family were also very pleased that Lilian received a birthday card from the Queen to wish her a happy 100th Birthday.
The Hornchurch Home Manager, Tania Banner said: “It was lovely to be able to welcome Lilian's family into our outside area to spend the day with her in a safe way.”
