HC-One’s Gittisham Hill House care home Residents and Colleagues enjoyed a magical afternoon as they used their new ‘Magic Table’ again in the home.
The Tovertafel ‘Magic Table’ is a device which is mounted on a ceiling complete with a high quality projector, sensors and a speaker as well as a processor providing the projection of a variety of games onto a table or surface.
The table has been so well received in the home as Residents enjoy how the colourful objects within each game, respond to their hand and arm movements, enabling them to play around with the light provided.
Residents enjoy playing on their favourite games on the device as laughter is shared between them, stimulating conversation and reminiscence of the times they would play similar games in their childhoods.
Home manager, Marita Westaway, commented: “It’s wonderful to see the Residents enjoying themselves on our new and exciting table device. It’s always lovely to see each of them happy.”
