Empathy dolls bring comfort to Brookdale View ResidentsA kind donation of empathy dolls were welcomed by Brookdale View care home in Manchester to help bring comfort to the Residents.

The home received three empathy dolls, along with knitwear, which have already made a big difference to the Residents.

Former midwife Ivy has taken to the idea particularly well and shed tears of joy when she was first introduced to her doll. She now loves holding and cuddling her doll, who she decided to name Valerie.

One Resident commented: “I already absolutely love my doll, she’s got such a lovely little face.”

Elizabeth Walker, Home Manager at Brookdale View, said: “It’s really heart-warming to see a real connection being made between the Residents and their empathy dolls. After seeing their success already, we can’t wait for more dolls and clothing to be delivered to the home.”
