Elvis swings by Bristol care home for day of Rock ‘n’ RollResidents were joined by family and friends as they celebrated the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s 84th birthday at Amerind care home in Bristol.

As part of the day’s activities, Residents enjoyed a morning of Elvis’ greatest hits as they joined in with the singing and dancing, while dressing up in their best Hawaiian outfits.

After the performance, Residents took a trip down memory lane to watch Blue Hawaii, the musical rom-com Elvis starred in. During a brief half-time interval, everyone was treated to burgers and ice creams to help celebrate the occasion further.

One Resident commented: “Elvis’ dance moves were fantastic. I wish I could swing my hips like him now!”

Wayne Price, Home Manager at Amerind Grove, said: “Elvis’ music was a big part of our Resident’s lives, so it was no surprise to see everyone smiling during the activities to celebrate his birthday.”
