HC-One’s Melbury Court Care Home in Durham held an American themed day for the Residents, with the king of rock and roll making an appearance.
Local entertainer, Mike Memphis, attended the home’s American themed day to entertain the Residents and their family members.
Elvis sang a good variety of songs and had Residents up dancing with the staff. He was a big hit with the ladies as he swung his hips around. Resident Sandra Carr, commented:
“Ooooo he’s lovely and such a great entertainer!”
The team at Melbury Court dressed up as cowboys and really got into the spirit of things, laying out an American spread of burgers and hotdogs for lunch, followed by a New York Cheesecake.
