Edinburgh care home remembers fallen heroesResidents and team members at HC-One’s Murrayfield House care home in Edinburgh paid their respects to fallen heroes on Remembrance Day on Monday 11th November.

Remembrance Day is observed by members of the Commonwealth of Nations to remember members of the military and armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Murrayfield House held a commemorative service in the home’s Remembrance Garden, during which Residents remembered the Great War heroes who sacrificed their own lives in World Wars.

During the service, everyone united for two minutes of silence, reflecting on the past, remembering loved ones and thinking of those who are still serving in the armed forces.

Murrayfield House Home Manager, Mandy Cooper said: “We’d like to extend our thanks to everyone who attended the service and joining us in remembering the selfless sacrifice of our fallen heroes.

“Some of our Residents have lost loved ones during different conflicts so it was a cathartic experience for them to remember and pay their respects.”
