Edinburgh care home host St Andrew’s Day celebrationsResidents at HC-One’s Murrayfield House Care Home in Edinburgh flew the Scottish flag with pride as they celebrated St Andrew’s Day with a themed tea dance.

The home threw a Scottish celebration on Friday 30th November enabling Residents, families and the community to come together to enjoy the National day.

In true patriotic fashion, Residents and staff wore their favourite or family’s tartan including hats, kilts and scarves, whilst enjoying a traditional meal prepared by the head chef. Music was provided by Alicia and in the evening Residents and visitors were entertained with music and poetry by ‘Balladonia’ in the ballroom.

Mandy Cooper, Home Manager at Murrayfield House Care Home commented:

“It is very important for us to respect and encourage traditions and we knew a day of importance, such as this for our Scottish Residents, was worthy of a celebration.

“The celebration was enjoyable for everyone that attended and the Residents particularly enjoyed welcoming guests into their home.”
