Eden House enjoy a visit from Joe’s Owl EncountersJoe’s Owl Encounters and Mobile Zoo paid a visit to Eden Court last week with a selection of his owls and birds of prey.

Residents from both units and several family members came along to see the birds. Most of the Residents held at least one of the birds, with Kathleen asking afterwards if they could come back again so she could work up the courage to hold one.

They enjoyed learning all about the owls and all had a good laugh at Joe’s expressions when Resident Ian had the answers to every question he asked.

The Residents all brightened up when the owls and birds visited, with one commenting on how beautiful their eyes are and how you can see real intelligence on them. Rita made everyone laugh by commenting:

“If one of them poops on me, I’m going straight down the street and putting the lottery on!”

Home Manager, Sharon Sperring, commented:

“We love having animals visit as it really lifts everyone’s spirits, but the birds bring something magical to the home. It’s great to see their faces and reactions; we can’t wait to see them again.”
