Eden House’s Summer Fayre is a huge successHC-One’s Eden House in Bishop Auckland, County Durham raises an amazing £380 for their Residents fund at their Summer Fayre.

The Summer Fayre took place at the home from 2pm on Saturday 23rd June and featured a few stalls as well as a tombola, which went extremely well with all bottle bags having a prize in.

A selection of cakes and pastries were donated for the stalls and all sold out in record time.

The highlight of the day for our Residents was a sing-a-long with the entertainer towards the end of the day, where the ladies enjoyed singing along to memorable songs from the past.

Residents also really enjoyed watching the balloon maker work his magic and they all looked fabulous in the hats that he made them.

Hot dogs and chips were served along with cream teas for everyone to enjoy.

In total, a huge £380 was raised for the Residents’ fund.

Eden House’s Home Manager, Emma Wade commented:

“The home’s atmosphere was amazing. The Residents all loved singing along with the entertainer and it was the best turn out for a summer fayre in a long time.

The weather was lovely and visitors enjoyed sitting in the garden area with our Residents.”
