April Park care home in Eckington collected a generous donation for Dunroamin K9 Rescue in Bolsover.
Throughout the past month, April Park has been collecting dog food, treats, toys and blankets for the local dog shelter, as a way of giving back to the local community.
Colleagues, Residents and visitors at April Park have been delighted to help out with the cause, adding new items to the collection basket wherever possible.
The owner of the dog shelter was delighted to receive the gifts, which will bring extra joy to the pooches living at the rescue centre this winter.
Gail Wardle, Home Manager at April Park, said: “At April Park, we are committed to helping out the local community wherever possible. After taking part in many local collections and fundraisers throughout the year, we thought it would be nice to also help out our furry friends this winter.”
