Eckington care home enjoys delicious Christmas dinner with local communityApril Park care home in Eckington was delighted to be invited to Christmas dinner with the local primary school as Residents tucked into a festive feast served with all the trimmings.

Students at the nearby Clowne Junior School welcomed Residents with open arms, as they spent the lunchtime discussing how Christmas had changed over the years.

Residents pulled Christmas crackers with the children, as they told their jokes and waited for everyone to guess the punchline.

Once the meal had come to an end, children presented Residents with their World War 2 projects, which Residents admired and praised the children for.

Gail Wardle, Home Manager at April Park, said: “At HC-One, we are passionate about creating valuable links with the local community, so we were delighted to receive an invitation for Christmas dinner at the school. A great day was had by Residents and students alike!”
