April Park care home in Eckington honoured Remembrance Day 2019 with a beautiful display of poppies in the home.
Residents and Colleagues at the home worked hard to create the display, which was made in honour of British servicemen and women who served in the Armed Forces, as well as those who continue to serve to this day.
The display features hundreds of poppies, as well as a beautiful dress made out of tissue poppies and a military uniform, wearing a single red poppy.
Everyone living at, working at and visiting April Park were impressed with the home’s efforts, with many people taking a moment’s silence by the feature.
One Resident commented: “We have all loved helping make this display. It is a really moving way of showing our respect for those affected by the war.”
