HC-One’s Chandlers Ford Care Home in Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The team at Chandlers Ford were delighted to have received an impressive CQC report that rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents, meaning the service is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-Led.
The inspectors were full of praise for colleagues at Chandlers Ford, highlighting the kind, caring, and friendly ways in which they provide care for Residents at the home. This sentiment was echoed by Residents, who made remarks such as
“the staff are here to look after me and they do a great job” and
“I am very lucky to live here, everyone is just so very kind and I could not ask for more.”
In particular, inspectors praised the high levels of independence encouraged for Residents at Chandler’s Ford, as they were supported by the team to remain as independent as possible, and make decisions in line with their own unique wants and needs. One resident remarked
“I like to stay in my room. I can read, watch television and watch the squirrels. I go up to the dining room for lunch and to have a chat. I'm rather deaf so sitting in the lounge does not work for me.”
