Easter is about giving, and one little boy from strawberry fields primary school showed just the true meaning of that.
Calub Winterhalder came along with the other children at the end of March to make Easter bonnets with the resident and developed a special bond with one of our ladies Joyce Shaw, so much so, that on April 14th when the resident were enjoying the Mad Hatters Tea party, he paid a visit with his mum.
Calub came to the home with his mum who explained that he had been given an Easter egg and the first thing he said was “I would like to go and visit Joyce and give my egg to her”.
Joyce was clearly happy to see Calub, and greeted him with a big hug, she had tears of joy as he presented the egg to her. It was a beautiful moment, showing the love between the younger and the older generation.
