East Whitburn care home celebrates team for Carers WeekHC-One’s Redmill care home in East Whitburn celebrated Carers Week by celebrating the wonderful team at the home.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

After a difficult year due to COVID-19, it was time to celebrate the hard work and commitment of the team at Redmill, banners were placed throughout the home and a special treat station was set up so that the team could enjoy some delicious cakes, strawberries and other goodies.

Residents helped make the cakes for the team as a thank you for everything they have done over the last year. Everyone agreed it was lovely to celebrate and show appreciation for their efforts.

Redmill Home Manager, Donna Bain said: “It was so important for us to show our team how much their work is respected and appreciated, it’s wonderful to work with such a professional and like-minded team.”

Located on Lady Court, Redmill care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen in East Whitburn that require nursing care and nursing memory care for those living with dementia.
