Durham care home wellbeing coordinator wins ‘Kindness in Care’ awardOur amazing wellbeing coordinator at HC-One’s Melbury Court care home has been the recipient of the prestigious HC-One Kindness in Care award.
 
Hazel Southern, who is Clinical Lead at the home, presented a well-deserved ‘Kindness in Care’ award to Jacky Kitchen on the 9th of June, celebrating Jacky’s dedication to her role.
 
Jacky has been working overtime during the current lockdown and has committed herself to long shifts to ensure that Residents are kept in touch with their loved ones and kept engaged in activities.
 
“I am delighted for Jacky to get the recognition she deserves as she works so hard,” says Melbury Court’s Home Manager, Mandy Hurst.
 
“Jacky will work any hours requested over and above her wellbeing hours to support the home and ensure Residents get the care and support they deserve.
 
“Throughout the lockdown Jacky has always supported the Relatives by organising and facilitating zoom and telephone calls to enable the Residents to keep in touch with their loved ones.
 
“I am always supported 100% by Jacky and she will always put the Residents before her own family.”
