Durham care home Residents take part in indoor games competitionResidents at HC-One’s St Margaret’s care home in Durham recently took part in an indoor games competition which involved games such as darts and basketball.

On 27th July, Residents at St Margaret’s enjoyed an active morning as they took part in a socially distanced indoor games competition. Residents enjoyed games of darts, basketball and other classic floor games.

Residents really enjoyed their morning and it was a great opportunity for them to socialise with other Residents and to exercise. Some Residents played darts when they were younger for their local team and some used to go to the local community centre to watch their friends and family play.

One St Margaret’s Resident said: “My Dad and brother were on a darts team and it brought back many memories.”

St Margaret’s Home Manager, Katherine Swainston said: “The Residents like throwing the magnetic darts and basketball, it brought back memories of their younger days being in the local community centre.”
