Durham care home host family fun dayHC-One’s Melbury Court Care Home in Durham had to unfortunately cancel their summer fair due to some of the Resident’s being unwell, so decided to host a family fun day once everyone was better, to make up for it.

Various local companies made an appearance to run stalls within the home, such as Body Shop and Vals Gifts.

Family and friends descended on Melbury Court and took part in games such as hook a duck, wheel of fortune, a raffle and a bottle Tombola. Residents, visitors and the care team enjoyed browsing the stalls and winning prizes on the tombola.

In the afternoon, entertainment was provided by Dave who sang a variety of songs from the 50s and 60s which Residents and the care team had a great time dancing to.

Margaret Barker commented:

“It was a lovely atmosphere and we had a great laugh.”
