Durham care home celebrates success in CQC reportSt Margaret’s care home in Durham – part of HC-One, the kind care company - is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). 

The team at St Margaret’s were delighted to have received an impressive CQC report that rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents, demonstrating that the home is Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsible, and Well-Led.

The inspectors were full of praise for Colleagues at St Margaret’s, highlighting the ways that they adapt the service to meet people’s personal needs. This sentiment was echoed by comments from Residents, which included: "This place is like home from home."

St Margaret’s which provides short and long term care packages for older members of the community needing residential, nursing and residential dementia care also boasts a 9.7/10 average rating on carehome.co.uk, the sector’s leading care home comparison website.

On Thursday 29th August, St Margaret’s opened its doors to the local community to celebrate the home’s recent positive CQC report which included a buffet lunch and live entertainment.

St Margaret’s home manager, Katherine Swainston said: “The whole St Margaret’s community is delighted our latest CQC report outcome and enjoyed celebrating together in August.”
