Durham care home celebrates kind Care AssistantsHC-One’s Melbury Court care home in Durham is celebrating the hard work of Care Assistants, Glynis Metcalfe and Christine Gilbert and their commitment to providing the kindest possible care.

Both Glynis and Christine were nominated for a Kindness in Care award by a family member of a Resident due to the exceptional care they provide, their professionalism and attentive nature. The Relative also stated that no matter how busy they are, both ladies are always smiling and have a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude.

The Kindness in Care awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013. It recognises the efforts of their kindest Colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of Residents and their loved ones.

The ladies were delighted to be presented with their Kindness in Care award by Home Manager, Mandy Hurst and were congratulated by their Colleagues and Residents in the home.

Melbury Court Home Manager, Mandy Hurst said: “It’s a privilege to work alongside such caring and thoughtful people and be able to recognise commitment to providing the kindest possible care, well done to Glynis and Christine.”
