Dundee care home celebrates positive Care Inspectorate reportHC-One’s Balcarres care home in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Inspectorate (CI).

Balcarres was delighted to receive such an impressive Care Inspectorate report, which rated the home at ‘Very Good’ in both areas assessed, which were ‘how well do we support people’s wellbeing?’ and ‘how well is care and support planned?’.

The inspectors were full of praise for the team at Balcarres, highlighting the sense of the community within the home and that the importance of making people’s lives meaningful sat prominently beside the tasks involved in delivering people’s personal care. 

The report also noted the variety of activities within the home, including a daily Stop the Clock, where Residents and staff come together to spend some time together.

Balcarres’ achievements reflect HC-One’s commitment to being the care provider of choice across its family of homes for individuals looking for the kindest care and support.
