Dukinfield Residents back at Dementia WarriorsYew Trees Residents, located on Tameside, are glad to be back enjoying the sessions at Dementia Warriors community group this June.

Mel, Mavis and Jean, who all live at the residential dementia care home, have joined the sessions which have included singing and games. There has also been a Jubilee afternoon tea with bell ringing, and coral singers.

Dementia Warriors are a community-based group that get together on Mondays and host a wide range of fun-filled activities including carpet bowls, table tennis, flower arranging and crafts. The group is also regularly visited by entertainers too and Residents at Yew Trees thoroughly enjoy the sessions.

Everyone enjoys the activities on offer, while having a nice cup of tea or coffee, accompanied with a selection of juice, cake and biscuits. One of the Residents taking part commented, “I have had a great time!”

Wellbeing Coordinator Lynda Bulley, commented, “It is great to get Residents out for a change of scenery!”
