Dudley care home Residents treat themselves to waffles after a workoutResidents have definitely earned their sweet treat and a rest today after a morning of working out at HC-One’s Himley Mill care home in Himley, West Midlands.

Residents did a light workout to party music from the 70s and 80s. They enjoyed dancing along with the music as they waved pom poms and even sang along.

Even Colleagues joined in with the workout as they encouraged Residents to keep moving as they danced alongside them.

Himley Mill Home Manager, Kelly Smith, said: “I enjoyed getting involved and encouraging other staff and Residents to join in too. It was really fun to get everybody moving before some lunch.”

After a rigorous morning, Residents enjoyed a well-earned treat; waffles and a movie in front of the fire. They all enjoyed a relaxing afternoon watching Singing in the Rain with warm waffles and ice cream.

One Resident commented: “The waffles were lovely. It went down a treat while watching the film.”
