Residents of
Daisy Nook House care home, in Ashton-under-Lyme, Tameside, celebrated the Kings Coronation over the weekend with a kings and queens dress up, and everyone had a great laugh!
On Saturday 6th May, Colleagues and Residents at the 40-bed residential and residential dementia care home were in great spirits as they watched the Coronation live on television, which was then following with a royal-themed afternoon tea, fit for any king or queen!
The celebrations didn’t stop there, on bank holiday Monday local performer Cheryl Anne came to the home to perform for Residents. There were lots of singing and dancing and it topped off a fantastic weekend.
The highlight was, of course, dressing up, with many Residents posing for a photo in the royal themed attire, it was a great laugh and there was lots of joking among everyone.
Terence (pictured), commented, “It was a lovely weekend of celebrations, I enjoyed everything."
Wayne Jones, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Thank you to the Daisy Nook House team, for making it a weekend to remember.”
