Residents from the Kirkwood unit at
Dovedale Court nursing and residential dementia care home, in Wednesbury, are busy selling tickets and other goodies to raise money for their comfort fund.
Some of the Residents at the home like to sit in the reception area and ask visitors and Colleagues if they would like to buy tickets and goodies. In total, they have already raised more than £400.00!
One of the family members commented that it is nice to see Residents being productive and doing activities that they enjoy.
The ladies involved stated that they're really enjoying having cup of tea or coffee and having a good chat in the reception.
Dawn Allen, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It is great to get back to normality and see Residents leading the home.”
