Dove Court care home has benefitted from transformative refurbishment and upgrade programmeDove Court care home in Burnley, Lancashire, has benefitted from an exciting refurbishment and upgrade resulting from a major investment programme, of more than £500,000 launched by owners HC-One.

Residents of the 120-bed, modern and friendly care home can enjoy sustainable, modernised and enhanced living environments – including the full refurbishment of bedrooms, redecoration of lounge and dining areas, treatment room and hair salon, as well as a brand-new café bar.

Residents, their loved ones, and Dove Court’s care teams can come together to enjoy activities and social engagements in the new break out room which has been developed as part of the home’s transformation.

The residential, nursing and dementia care home refurbishment forms part of HC-One’s £54.5 million refurbishment and upgrade programme. This programme will benefit 221 HC-One homes, including Dove Court, and forms part of HC-One’s mission to be the UK’s first choice care provider in the communities it serves.

As the largest care home refurbishment programme in the UK, HC-One is transforming its homes for the benefit of the Residents and Colleagues who live and work in them, and for the local communities they serve. The upgrades mean that every HC-One home will be equipped to meet the needs of an ageing population with increasingly complex care needs – including dementia care needs.

The works at Dove Court began in August 2021 and completed in April 2022 – no Residents were impacted by the works.

Tracey Yates, HC-One’s Area Director said:

“We are committed to fostering an environment that really feels like home, and décor and facilities are an important part of this. We’re really excited that the plan for Dove Court Care Home has now been safely completed. We look forward to relatives visiting their loved ones in the home and seeing the end result, and when it is safe to do so, welcoming more visitors to see our new look.”
