Residents at HC-One’s
April Park care home in Derbyshire have taken part in supporting denim for dementia day organised by Alzheimer's Society on the 21st May.
April Park Residents decided to make flower broaches from old denim and wear them for the day. And, of course, there was any excuse for cake, but keeping in the theme, the Residents iced them blue.
Throughout the day, Colleagues donated the denim for the Residents to use and also made donations, which after counting it all up, amounted to an impressive £40.
April Park Home Manager Alison Cossey said: “All the Residents and staff enjoy supporting the community, whether that’s local or wider, so they really like these types of activities and really engage in them too.”
Located in the popular town of Eckington on the Derbyshire and Yorkshire border, April Park is a lovely home with 40 beds and offers residential care.
