Derby care home Residents visit famous local sculptureResidents at Aspen Court care home in Spondon, Derby enjoyed a trip out to see the famous Knife Angel sculpture as it visited Derby. 

Created by Alfie Bradley and the British Ironwork Centre, the sculpture stands 27 feet high and is made from more than 100,000 knives collected in knife banks during police surrenders.

The Knife Angel is bringing to light the prevalence of knife crime and violence in the UK and how something needs to change before it's too late.

As the sculpture makes its way throughout the UK, two Residents at Aspen Court were keen to go and see the sculpture before it left Derby. 

Residents were really impressed by the sculpture, commenting on how important its message is to people across the country.
