The Care Team at HC-One’s
Defoe Court in Newton Aycliffe, a residential and nursing care home, was crowned the winner of the Health Care Team of the Year Award at the Northern Echo Health and Care Awards 2022.
The awards ceremony took place virtually on Thursday 28th April. The awards celebrated and recognised those who have gone the extra mile, shining a spotlight on those who richly deserve credit who have risen to the challenges presented by the global COVID-19 pandemic, overcoming adversity, showing strength, bravery, kindness, compassion and tenacity to serve their local communities, continuing to put others first.
Defoe Court Care Team was recognised by the judges for demonstrating the impact they have had on others, shown outstanding team working skills, communication and the ability to work together when faced with a variety of challenges.
The Defoe Court Care Team consistently develop innovative ways to constantly drive up their standards, skills and expertise for the benefit of all the Residents at the home.
