
Jacqueline Orrells, Area Director at HC-One, the UK’s largest care provider, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Care Operations/Area Manager Award Category at the prestigious National Care Awards 2020.
Jacqueline Orrells is an Area Director for HC-One’s 14 care homes in Wales. Jacqueline supports and leads her Colleagues, working in the care homes to deliver the best care to the elderly Residents living there.
Caroline Price, Area Quality Director at HC-One, who nominated Jacqueline for the award, commented:
“I have nominated Jacqueline as I have seen for myself first hand Jacqueline's commitment, hard work and level of support to others. Although Jacqueline looks after 14 separate care homes, they have become one large family and team under her strong leadership skills so that everyone pulls together to help each other.”
“Jacqueline encompasses the spirit of care, a culture of support and the ethos of HC-One as the heart of kindness. She always has time for her colleagues and invests in them by providing such a high level of support, through teaching and providing advice to them as well as encouraging them to develop in their work by learning new skills and progressing in their careers. She is always honest but fair in providing colleagues with constructive feedback. Jaqueline also ensures to promote all Government policies and practices amongst her teams and leads by example.”
A number of the Home Managers across the care homes have also praised Jacqueline for her incredible work and guidance over the years.
Lianne Hargreaves, Senior Home Manager at Parklands Care Home in Caerphilly, said:
“Jacqueline has been the most influential person in my career in HC-One. When Jacqueline joined the company, I was working as a deputy home manager in a residential home, she saw potential in me and supported me when applying for the home manager’s position in my current home.”
Carla Arcanjo, Home Manager at Quarry Hall Care Home in Cardiff, also shared her praise:

The National Care Awards 2020 marks 22 years of celebrating the very best people working in the care sector and those who go above and beyond to provide consistent exceptional care. The National Care Awards ceremony will be taking place virtually this year on Wednesday 25th November 2020, when the winners will be announced.
Hearing of the news of her nomination Jacqueline Orrells, Area Director at HC-One, said:

Jacqueline is one of eleven HC-One finalists that have been shortlisted in the National Care Awards, National Dementia Care Awards, Great British Care Awards, The Northern Echo County Durham Together Awards and the Care Heroes Awards 2020 across a variety of award categories.
