Dedicated nurse receives a Kindness in Care AwardHC-One’s Grosvenor House Care Home in Harrogate is celebrating RGN Pretty Memela, who has received a Kindness in Care Award for her dedication, kindness and excellent nursing when working the night shift over the last 15 years.

The Kindness in Care Awards programme was launched by HC-One, a leading provider in health and social care, in October 2013.  It recognises the efforts of their kindest colleagues, and the impact they have on the lives of Residents and their loved ones. Month on month, record breaking numbers of awards are presented to colleagues, volunteers, and whole teams within the family of homes that HC-One operates across the UK.

All of the Residents at the home love Pretty as she is always smiling, happy and helpful, and goes above and beyond to provide the kindest care to everybody living at Grosvenor House. Pretty is retiring in September this year and returning to South Africa, she will be greatly missed by her colleagues and all of the Residents at Grosvenor House and everyone wishes her all the best for the future.

HC-One Grosvenor House Home Manager, Susan Nutter, said:

“Pretty has been a valuable member of our team and is loved by everyone at Grosvenor House. She really deserves this award and we will miss her greatly when she leaves us in September.”
