Residents at HC-One’s
Fullarton, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Ayrshire were really excited for their lead up to Christmas.
Residents have had lots of fun and a very busy few weeks in the month of December.
One of the activities which the Residents took part in was a Christmas themed photoshoot, so Residents could sent their photos to their Relatives. Another activity was Residents took part in HC-One’s
‘What I love about Christmas’ campaign.
Residents also had their annual Christmas party. They enjoyed music, dancing and some tasty treats. The staff took turns to dress up as festive Christmas characters, the Residents loved it and had huge smiles on their faces. Residents ate lots of treats which include homemade mince pies, cocktail sticks of cheese and pickles, and shortbread.
With every activity came lots of chatting and fun, many laughs with both the Residents and staff. Residents remembered past Christmases, and times gone by, some also shed a tear.
One Resident, said, “Such a great laugh in December, I am so glad our plans came together.
Another Resident, added, “Time has been spent well. It is so nice knowing that our families with enjoy seeing our photos. It makes me so happy.”
Care Home Manager, Charlotte Beaumont, added, “Our Residents love December and it is so nice seeing them get into the festive spirit.”
