Dartford care home receive fundraising support from National Citizens Service groupHC-One’s Priory Mews care home was delighted to receive support when local National Citizenship Service group set up a fundraiser for the home’s Resident fund.

The NCS group arranged a cake stall at the local park, with some members of the group coming into the home to socialise with the Residents and help with the wishing tree project for the home.

The cake stall raised a total of £80, and with the money, the group bought a variety of bingo prizes for the home, as well as different arts and craft activities and puzzle games for everyone to take part in.

Everyone was so pleased and appreciated the effort of the NCS group. Rose Akem, home manager, commented: “It’s always lovely to see different generations collaborate so well like this, the Residents are so pleased with the gifted items.”
