Crosby Ravensworth School show Croft Avenue an eggcellent timeCrosby Ravensworth School invited the Residents of Croft Avenue to their community lunch on Thursday 22nd March.

The Residents were nominated to be the judges for the Easter bonnet parade and the decorated egg competition, which ended up being a very difficult decision for them as the standard of the entries was so high.

The Lions Club of Penrith also kindly lent a hand and provided transport for the Residents from the home to Crosby Ravensworth School.

An excellent school lunch was provided by the school, followed by the judging of the competitions. Everyone then enjoyed a game of bingo together.

The judges for the competitions were John Yates from Penrith Lions and Croft Avenue Residents Ada Borrowdale, Beryl Sutton, Jack Stannard and his wife Jean.

The winners of the decorated egg competition were Ben Simpson from the Junior School and May Gill Martin from the Infant School. Max Kerr took the crown for the Easter bonnet competition from the Junior School and Charley Dooley from the Infant School.

Jacqueline Johnstone, Home Manager at Croft Avenue, commented:

“Thank you to all of the staff and children at Crosby Ravensworth School, we had such a fantastic day.”
