Residents at HC-One’s Chaseview care home enjoyed afternoons of creativity recently when they decided to take part in painting and colouring activities.
Alan spent his career as a professional artist before taking ill and no longer choosing to paint, whilst Eric always wanted to have his work framed as he had a deep love of colouring.
Although Alan stated he did not want to paint anymore, he made the decision to give it another try recently, so, with the help of a Colleague in the home, he painted a beautiful picture which he took great pride in.
Eric was delighted to take part in a colouring activity alongside this, and seeing his creation in a frame placed on the wall, was something he was very pleased, remarking that it was his wish come true.
Jennifer Khadoo, home manager, commented: “it is wonderful to bring out this creativity in Residents, especially when it clearly means so much to them.”
