New Year celebrations were in full swing at Hartford Court care home in Cramlington as Residents enjoyed a visit from Elvis impersonator, Mike Memphis.
Mike turned up in his usual Elvis-inspired white suit, much to the Residents’ delight. He sang a number of popular Elvis songs, as well as a few classics from Neil Diamond and Cliff Richard.
Residents were joined by friends and family as they sang along, clapping and waving their arms to the music. Everyone particularly enjoyed Mike’s rendition of Hound Dog, where Mike rolled out some classic Elvis dance moves.
One Resident commented: “I am so glad I came to the show. I really loved seeing Elvis today.”
A Relative added: “I am so pleased that I did not miss the show today. This one was the best yet!”
