Joan, a Resident at HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home made the decision that she would like to go for a walk as the weather seemed nice, so Colleague, Jane, accompanied her.
The pair decided to visit the local shop for a few items, including some biscuits which Joan had picked to share with her friends.
They both enjoyed a walk back to the home, admiring the local green areas and discussing Joan’s favourite things about being outdoors.
Linda Wilkes, home manager, commented: “It’s wonderful helping Residents maintain their independence, Joan enjoyed buying her own items and simply going for a nice walk.”
