Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s Victoria Park care home, spent the afternoon having their very own ‘beach’ party.
The Coventry care home staff decided that if they couldn't take their Residents to the beach, then they would bring the beach to them instead!
It was a glorious sunny day and the team had thought of everything - from water to dip your feet in, a sand pit with buckets and spades and a beach ball to play games with.
Everyone enjoyed a fish, chip and mushy pea lunch served in a box, and finished off with delicious ice creams with all the trimmings and candy floss.
The afternoon then got a bit competitive with a fruit themed quiz, finished off by a sing-a-long to war tunes.
Residents, Sandra and Nicky, thoroughly enjoyed the day, and Jennifer said “it was just like being at the beach.”
