Jean Forrest, a Resident at HC-One’s Brandon House care home in Coventry received a ‘special’ gift from the care team.
A lifelong fan of Ska group, The Specials, Jean was first introduced to the members of the band by her son as the group was starting to gain popularity. She got to know the group very well and they would often play their songs for Jean and her husband.
Jean has always had a soft spot for lead singer, Terry Hall and still has a twinkle in her eye when she speaks of him. Over the years, she followed their success and collected newspaper clippings, autographs and other items of her favourite band.
The care team at Brandon House decided to create a ‘special’ display for Jean to put up in her bedroom, using her collected items. It was lovely for Jean to look over the memorabilia and reminisce about her favourite memories of the band, she also listened to favourite song by The Specials, Ghost Town.
