Victoria Park Care Home, in Coventry, were delighted to welcome Stoke and Wyken police officers into their home for an afternoon of tea, biscuits, and community connection for the care home’s ‘Cuppa with a Coppa’ event.
Stoke and Wyken police officers visited the home to talk with residents, offering them the chance to enjoy a cup of tea and chat informally with their local officers.
During the session, the officers provided an update on the latest local policing priorities and activities, keeping the residents informed on how they’re helping to keep the area safe and took the time to listen to any concerns or questions from the residents.
The event was part of an ongoing effort to strengthen ties between the community and local law enforcement, ensuring that everyone, including the elderly, feels heard and supported. Victoria Park Care Home is already planning its next ‘Cuppa with a Coppa’ gathering, eager to continue building these important relationships.
Victoria Park’s Home Manager, Katie Hollis said:
“This was a great opportunity for our home to be involved with our community relationships. This gave us an opportunity to give back to the ones who protect us and ensure our residents feel safe in their home. We hope we will see them again in the very near future.”
The home’s staff and residents are excited to make these visits a regular event at the home and welcome the wider community to join them.
