It was on emotional day at HC-One’s Hatton Lea care home as Sandra and John Woods were reunited just in time to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mr and Mrs Wood’s special day coincided with the home’s first day of indoor visiting, after countless months of COVID-19 restrictions. The team at Hatton Lea were determined to make this a memorable day for Sandra and her husband, by decorating the lounge with banners and balloons as well as making a special anniversary cake which the couple shared with some sparkling wine.
It was an emotional reunion for both John and Sandra, who were delighted with the efforts the team had made to help them celebrate their golden wedding anniversary.
Hatton Lea Home Manager, Jane Sugden said: “I am so pleased that Sandra and John were able to celebrate their anniversary together after such a long time of not being able to be in the same room as each other due to COVID-19.”
