Couple re-united at Roxburgh HouseJoan, a Resident at HC-One’s Roxburgh House care home was delighted to be re-united with her husband and former Resident of the home, Frank.

Married for 65 years, the pair lived at the home together until Frank became unwell and required further care, moving to an alternative nursing home.

Although Joan understood this, she had begun to miss Frank terribly, so Colleague Jane sat with Joan over a cup of tea, and asked if she would like to meet up with Frank at his home, to which Joan was delighted with.

Jane made arrangements for Joan to visit the home and enjoy lunch with Frank, which pleased them both as they had missed each other dearly. The pair look forward to hopefully meeting each other for lunch again soon as they update each other on the events of their day.

Home manager, Linda Wilkes, commented: “We’re so glad that Joan and Frank are able to remain in contact and see each other still, we look forward to keeping them in touch with one another.”
