Colleagues and Residents at HC-One’s Melbury Court in Durham recently received some kind donations from the Nurses at University Hospital of North Durham.
On Monday 1st December Gaynor, Shirley, Anne and Mandy who form the palliative care nurse team at University Hospital of North Durham (UHND), rang Melbury Court wanting to donate toiletries to each of the homes Residents.
Later that day two of the team travelled down to Melbury Court with an individually chosen package for each male and female in the home. There were some lovely items donated to the Residents and it was so lovely of the team to split them into male and female packages for Melbury Court’s 68 Residents.
One Melbury Court Resident said: “We heard about the kindness of the team and want to thank them whole heartedly.”
Melbury Court Home Manager, Hazel Southern said: “It was a lovely and kind gesture from the palliative team. Our Residents will thoroughly enjoy the packages.”
