In honour of King Charles III Coronation, Residents and Colleagues at Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia care home in Consett, enjoyed a street party.
After having a Residents meeting it was decided to have a street party to celebrate the King’s Coronation.
As a few of the Residents could remember when the Queen had her Coronation, they thought it was only right to celebrate King Charles III too!
Colleagues and Residents decorated the outside and the inside with flags, whilst crossing their fingers that the weather would be nice!
The dining room tables were arranged outside and were covered with union jacks, the kitchen team really went the extra mile with the party food, which was what the Residents choose themselves in the meeting!
Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, commented, “It was a fantastic day had by all and everyone who attended the party had a great time.”
