HC-One’s Coppice Court care home enjoyed a day filled with sweet music when they took part in BBC’s Music Day recently.
To mark the day, the home invited a speaker from the local Eastbourne Gilbert and Sullivan Society who spoke to Residents about her role within the society.
Everyone discussed the famous operettas they know and have seen, before listening to a variety of operatic pieces.
The speaker impressed the Residents and Colleagues in the home as she then went on to sing a solo piece from opera performance, the Pirates of Penzance.
Juliet Wills, Home Manager, commented: “Residents have thoroughly enjoyed themselves this afternoon. The home was filled with music and laughter, with everyone singing along to their most favourite opera pieces.”
