Continuous support from Rotherham United for Sheffield care homeRotherham United have been regular visitors to Swallownest care home, in South Yorkshire, for quite a few years. This has involved delivering sports activities to Residents.

Unfortunately, these visits stopped due to covid but Rotherham United stayed in touch with the home and kindly brought some promotion packs to the door.

These packs contained calendars, pens and t-shirts; Residents pictured are Mavis Walker, holding the goodie bags, and Chris Parker, posing with his calendar.

Rotherham united also support the home in fundraising and regularly invite Residents and Colleagues to events.

Chris helped Colleagues to make a video to forward to the community trust to help bring awareness to the fantastic work Rotherham United do in the community. He said, “I am thrilled to receive my calendar from Rotherham united and I felt very proud to be asked to do the promotional video for the sports trust.”

Amanda Fields, Home Manager, remarked, “Rotherham United have been brilliant in delivering strengthening and fitness classes to our Residents for a number of years. We have also been invited to take part in several care home Olympic days they have organized. We are very grateful for everything they do.”
