Community join Redcar Care Home for a sizzling summer feteResidents at a HC-One care home took full advantage of the long summer by hosting an action packed garden party for the Redcar community.

Friends and family descended on Roseberry Court Care Home for the seasonal celebration, taking part in donkey rides, face painting, a dog show and sponge the management, which saw a large queue of children waiting to throw the sponges!

Laughter was heard all around the care home as the management team got more and more wet with every turn. Some adults even joined in and had the best time laughing as they threw the sponges.

Helen from Wagg and Co was the judge for the dog show with a difference, the lovely dogs had to work hard for their treats by playing musical chairs, egg and spoon race, Simon Says and catch the treats.

Local businesses all contributed to the raffle by donating gifts and Blue Light Babies joined the home to share all of their hard work and the fundraising that they do.

Alison Corner, Home Manager at HC-One’s Roseberry Court Care Home commented:

“What a fantastic day had by all! I would like to thank each and every person who took part and made our summer fete such a roaring success.

I am thrilled to announce that we raised over £700 for our Resident’s fund.”
