Colton Lodges Residents ended their very own Olympics with a closing ceremony!The Residents of Colton Lodges care home, Leeds which offers residential, nursing and memory care, for those living with dementia, ended their very own Olympics with a closing ceremony.

The scores were tallied up and the winners were handed their very own gold medals, which were presented to them on a velvet cushion followed by ceremonial music and flags were handed to each Resident to wave for the winners.  

Each winner also received a box of Belgian chocolates!

One of the Residents said, “I cannot believe I am a winner, I’ve never won anything, I’m so happy".

Another Resident commented and said, “I can’t wait to tell my daughter that I’ve won, she will be so pleased”.
Danielle Longthorn, Care Home Manager said, “It was lovely to see the delight on the Residents' faces when they were presented with their medals and chocolates”.
